In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty. The darkness covered the surface of the earth.

On the First Day of Creation
God made the light. He separated the light from the dark. God called the light "day" and the dark "night".

On the Second Day of Creation
God made the sky, clouds, and air. God saw it was good.

On the Third Day of Creation
God caused the dry land to appear and He made the mountains, trees, and seas.

On the Fourth Day of Creation
God made the sun, moon, and stars. He also made the seasons!

On the Fifth Day of Creation
God made the birds to fill the sky and the fish to fill the waters.
On the Sixth Day of Creation
God made the land animals to fill the land. God saw that it was good. And God made man to rule over all the animals after His own image. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.

On the Seventh Day, God finished his work, and he rested.
