Once upon a time, there was a big group of people who all spoke the same language. They lived in a place called "Shinar". These folks had a grand idea: they wanted to build a super tall tower that would touch the sky! They thought it would make them famous and powerful.
So, they gathered bricks, rocks, and lots of enthusiasm. They worked together day and night, stacking the bricks higher and higher. The tower grew and grew, and everyone cheered.
But then God noticed their tower. He saw their pride and how they thought they could do anything. God decided to teach them a lesson.

One morning, when the builders woke up, something strange happened. They couldn’t understand each other! Their words sounded like gibberish. Imagine trying to say “hello” and ending up saying “banana” instead!
Confusion reigned. The tower project stalled. People pointed at bricks and shrugged. “What are we building again?” they wondered.
God had mixed up their language on purpose. Now, instead of working together, they argued and gestured wildly. The tower crumbled, and the city became known as Babel, which means “confusion.”

People are scattered across the world, speaking different languages. And that’s why today, we have so many languages and cultures. But we also remember the story of the tower that reached for the sky as a reminder to stay humble and work together.
